Cindy Freeman

Executive Director

Cindy Freeman is Spectrum’s Executive Director. She believes that the most important thing she can do for staff and people being supported in services is to provide them with individualized opportunities, encouragement, and coaching to reach their full potential. She has worked hard to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to work in their communities and to lead a full life.  She fully believes that achievement does not look the same for everyone and it takes different levels of support and time for each person.  For Cindy, the most important thing is for everyone to be provided with an equal opportunity to achieve success.  She recognizes that opportunity, whether for staff or people in supports, can only be fully accessed if we are offered kindness and personal consideration.

“Throughout my career, success to me means that I have helped people to build their skills and knowledge so they can help others in whatever capacity they choose to do so. I believe that regardless of your role at work or position in life, how we make each other feel and how we choose to share our gifts has the power to make a positive difference in this world.”

Carolyn Snyder

Sr. Director of Employee & Community Engagement

Carolyn Snyder is the Sr. Director of Employee & Community Engagement.  She has worked at Spectrum Support since 2006 in various roles. Often people compliment her creative job title but ask what it means. Simply put, Carolyn wears many hats including responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources, Payroll, and Marketing. Additionally, Carolyn works in tandem with the Executive Director and leadership team on the ongoing business operations. She maintains empathy and awareness of the unique challenges that both employees and the people we support may endure. Carolyn genuinely promotes friendly and helpful relations while safeguarding company objectives and policies.

“Working in human services has been a mutually beneficial experience. I was given the gift of helping others improve their lives, respecting the dignity and welfare of all people. At the same time, this work connects with my own values honoring integrity, honesty, and objectivity.”

“My career has provided the opportunity to meet so many people that I would not otherwise have had the chance to meet. Each day has the potential to offer a new connection or experience and for that I am grateful.”

Randy Wise

Director of Quality Enhancement and Training

Randy Wise is the Director of Quality Assurance & Training; he started working at Spectrum Support over 30 years ago as a direct support staff. He is invested in the lives and stories of people that Spectrum supports and helps to create a safe work environment (i.e., physically, psychologically, emotionally, etc.). Randy has a sense of humor and levity which he considers to be a vital part of the way he works. He uses curiosity, humor, and his strong interest in others to build relationships of trust and respect with service participants, staff, and peers.

“In my experiences, humor and keeping my word have been gateways to healthy relationship-building. And more importantly, I agree with the prevailing ideas and research on the importance of creating and contributing to safe working environments. People don’t want to show up, or to interact in workspaces where they don’t feel safe.”
